Nathan Carriere grew up in Vaughan, Ontario, the youngest of three kids in a tight-knit Franco-Ontarian family. His dad ran a small HVAC contracting business out of Woodbridge, and his mom taught French at a Catholic elementary school in Maple. Nathan picked up his bilingual chops early, bouncing between English at school and French at home, and spent most of his teenage years playing competitive hockey for a Vaughan rep team and messing around with WordPress sites he built for fun.

After graduating from York University with a degree in Communications, Nathan worked as a content writer at a digital marketing agency in North York, grinding out blog posts and landing pages for clients in everything from real estate to dental clinics. He got hooked on the iGaming space in 2019 after a buddy dragged him to a Bet99 launch event in Toronto, and within a year he had pivoted to writing full-time about online casinos and sports betting.
